It seems to me that these two writers confirm something I've been saying for some time - the North American Kuyper interest is too easily "blurred" (a Kuyperian concept) with an implicit reduction of Christian life to (enlightened) argument. The blurring occurs whether it is within the academy, and usually that means within the North American academy, or where scholars try to encourage their colleagues to follow North American fashions ...and
If we are concerned with a Christian political view of the world then we will avoid reducing our political life to "argument". That is to simply make Abraham Kuyper into a neatly cut, theological cardboard cut-out for commercial publishing purposes.
Tony Reinke poses the question: Does God delight in non-Christian art? To answer it he draws briefly upon Kuyper.
