Hi, Its John from Melbourne.
The one thing that all these religionists have in common is that they all subscribe to the mommy-daddy "creator" parental deity---the objectified wholly other great relation.
It is an integral part of the Christian package along with the idea that all beings including humans are objective others. and that the world process is also objectively other.
It is a fear saturated paradigm.
"Where there is an other, fear arises". A phrase from one of the Upanishads.
Such a belief in a parental deity is perhaps understandable for children, but nowhere near enough a basis for living a truly adult life.
